There were no surprises at Anfield yesterday. Liverpool crushed Arsenal 5-1 in which the hosts dominated in every aspect of the game. As the scoreline suggests, it was a one-sided game. Firmino scored a hattrick while Mane and Salah also joined the score chart. Niles got one back for the Gunners. Liverpool are looking for the title with a 9 point lead as Tottenham once again bottled their chances against Wolves. Arsenal stays on the fifth position behind Chelsea.
This match proved how important it is to have money in modern football. It was too early for Mustafi to be back on the field after his injury. Emery replaced him in the second half with Koscielny. KolaĊĦinac made a careless foul on Lovren inside the box. Referee Michael Oliver had no other option but to point to the spot. Salah gave the penalty to Firmino to complete his hattrick and it finished the Gunners.
According to Daily Mail, Klopp nearly cried when Salah gave the ball to Firmino for his third goal.
