Heung-min Son: THE SOUTH KOREAN GUN

Question: Who is the second most dangerous South Korean in the world?

Answer: Heung-min Son!!!

The Tottenham winger has been in form of his life recently. Son scored 5 goals and assisted 3 in a total of 13 matches in Premier League and he is not seeming to stop. Tottenham are in the third position in the point table and Son has a huge role in their progress. Credits also go to Mauricio Pochettino, coach of Spurs for bringing out the best in Son.

The South Korean also led his team to the Gold medal in Asian Games Football. According to rules in South Korea, all men must complete 21 months of service to the Country. But Son and his teammates got spared from duty because of the Gold medal. It was a  positive boost for his career. At the age of 26, Son can move to elite clubs in future if he wishes to do so.

Son is comfortable to play either as a winger or a striker. He is blessed with pace, ball control and shot power that makes him an ideal threat to the opposition. Son has an incredible understanding with his fellow teammates. His recent performances against Barcelona and Everton were on another level.

Son started his professional career at Hamburger SV. In 2013 he moved to Bayer Leverkusen and later in 2015 he moved to Spurs with a transfer of 22 million which made him the most expensive Asian Player to play in Premier League. Son is leading the table of all-time top scorers from Asia in Premier League.

Pochettino praised Son after the match against Everton during the post-match interview:
I think he has massive quality. He’s doing a fantastic job for the team. His finishing today was unbelievable. The quality was amazing.”

There is no doubt that big clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern etc tries to tie him up in future considering his favorable side of the age. It is up to him to make the decision to go for higher ranks and trophies. But Spurs and Pochettino are the reason why Son is in the shape right now. Good Luck Son, the Underrated Star!
